Your NETGEAR router has internal wireless radios that broadcast WiFi signals. By default, they are turned on so that you can connect wirelessly to the router. When the wireless radios are turned off, you can still use an Ethernet cable for a LAN connection to your router.
You can turn the wireless radios on and off by using your router's (WiFi On/Off) button. You can also turn the wireless radios on and off from the router web interface. For more information, see How do I turn the wireless radios on and off on my NETGEAR router using the router web interface?
If you use the WiFi On/Off button to turn the wireless radios off, you cannot turn them back on from the router web interface. You must press the button again to turn the wireless radios on.
